Today we're celebrating another local pioneer in women's Mountain Biking, the "godmother of women’s mountain biking" -  Jacquie Phelan.

Jacquie Phelan pioneered the early days of modern women’s mountain biking and introduced some of the first women-specific mountain biking camps and clinics.

“Even new riders who may not have a clue who Jacquie is or know about the early mountain biking scene have been positively affected by the advocacy and example that Jacquie championed in the early years.”
