Kids need more green time and less screen time? We totally agree! In fact we even have a program running RIGHT NOW to help do that!
Join us this Thursday at 2:30PM on Facebook Live for the next installment of Off Screen, Trail where we will be talking about basic maintenance and easy fixes for your bike! Want to read more about how 'Green Time' helps kids? Read more here: https://buff.ly/30eHEBt

As we move into Fall, take a moment to watch My Last Day of Summer, from artist Kristina Wayte, of Sketchy Trails. My Last Day of Summer is a beautiful film blending brilliant illustrations with live action footage of ten-year-old mountain biker Julia Traum.
We are all about kids riding hard on bikes! Watch, enjoy, and make sure to get out and ride too! #endofsummer #mtb A little Mountain Bike history for you to read on a lazy Saturday.
"On Oct. 21, 1976, a small group of cyclists and a dog named Junior gathered on Carson Ridge, which rises just west of Fairfax. It was midmorning and the sky was bright blue, a beautiful day for racing 50-pound vintage Schwinn Excelsior clunkers down Cascade Canyon Road, whose winding dirt surface plunges 1,300 feet in less than two miles, past serpentine outcrops, low-lying chaparral, and scattered oaks on its way to the confluence of San Anselmo and Cascade creeks." #MTB #MTBHistory #Marin Thanks to City of San Rafael Green Initiatives and San Rafael Climate Action for featuring the Re-Cyclery as a Climate Action Role Model!
Check out their website to read more about the ReCyclery's sustainable practices! #sustainable #recyclery #recycle #climateaction Starting this week, Trips for Kids Marin will be launching Off Screen, On Trail!
A series of six half-hour episodes, Off Screen, On Trail's goal is to teach families and their kids how to prepare themselves to get out and ride. Each episode will focus on a different subject ranging from how to put on a helmet correctly to finding local areas to ride. Throughout the series, you will see faces from across the Trips for Kids Marin organization including Adam, our Trail Ride Program Manager, and RJ, our Earn-A-Bike program manager. Also, we are especially excited to have Ranger Nova from Marin County Parks in our final class to talk about the many great places to ride in Marin. Take a moment to read the descriptions below and see if there is a class that interests you. While there will be concepts that build upon each other from episode to episode, anyone should be able to join a class and follow along. Classes start on Thursday, September 17th at 2:30PM on Facebook Live at Trips for Kids Marin's Facebook page. We hope you join us! Go ahead and Register Now. Classes are free and open to anyone! Great uplifting story to cheer you up on a Monday. Julian Molina has moves!
"It’s okay if the first thing you notice about BMX rider Julian Molina is that he has only one leg. The Andes, Colombia, native understands that his disability isn’t common within BMX. However, if you watched Molina ride for even five minutes, it would quickly become the last thing on your mind." https://buff.ly/3moLK36 One week until the first session of Off Screen, On Trail! If you haven't heard, Off Screen, On Trail is our new Facebook Live series teaching everything a family would need to know to get out and ride!
