Archive Post from April 7th, 2017Our countdown to Sea Otter Classic 2017 has officially begun! There are few things we look forward to more than our annual pilgrimage to Sea Otter to celebrate our favorite sport and the start of the racing season. We are already gearing up to catch up with our old cycling friends (TFK has been attending Sea Otter for over a decade after all), engage with fellow bike enthusiasts and connect with all of the new friendly faces from our biking community.
Who to look for from Trips for Kids at Sea Otter 2017: Marilyn Price Andy Phelps We couldn’t think of a more perfect opportunity to announce that our very own Andy Phelps has been internally promoted to National Sponsorship Coordinator. Andy is a lifelong cycling enthusiast with over 26 years of industry experience. He brings endless energy, enthusiasm and positivity to everything he does and has made a positive impact on TFK during his 8 years with the organization. As the Manager of TFK Marin’s Re-Cyclery Bike Shop for the last seven years, Andy transformed the Re-Cyclery from a two-person enterprise into a thriving business that now provides 60% of TFK’s annual budget. TFK’s work is made possible by the generosity of our benefactors, sponsor partnerships and industry supporters. As National Sponsorship Coordinator, Andy’s focus is on cultivating and growing TFK’s industry relationships with the goal of generating in-kind and cash donations to support TFK’s national chapter network. He is very excited about his new role and proud to be representing TFK at Sea Otter this year. Andy and Marilyn are looking forward to a bike-filled weekend in beautiful Monterey, and can’t wait to connect with TFK’s industry supporters and Sea Otter friends. Keep an eye out for our Trips for Kids shirts. Come find us and say hello!
