Tom is a longtime cyclist who just loves being on his bike. Starting at an early age, to his first bike race in 1975, to recent years as an avid endurance cyclist, a bike has always been a part of his life. In 1982, he setup the first century ride for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Cincinnati, when they asked him how they could get more serious cyclists into their fund raising events. He also enjoys hiking and sailing. Professionally, he started The Sheppard Group in 1994 and advises companies ranging from the Fortune 100 to early stage startups, on growing and improving their business and managing change. He has also been the interim CFO, COO and GM for several early stage companies. Previously, Tom started the Strategic Business Services Group for KPMG and held positions as Director of Research and a Portfolio Manager for BA Capital Management and a Senior Technology Analyst for Dean Witter Reynolds. Tom has an MBA from Xavier University and graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor degree in Finance. |
