We’re looking for a part-time Sales & Mechanic team member to support our shop on weekends (and occasional weekdays). This role is perfect for someone passionate about bikes, community, and making a difference.

Bike Shop Mechanic (Part-Time | 25–32 hrs/week)

​Position Summary
The Bike Shop Mechanic is responsible for repairing, refurbishing, and maintaining bicycles used in our youth programs and sold through the
ReCyclery. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanic experience who values safety, quality work, and community impact.
​
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair bikes, including brakes, shifting, tires, tubes, chains, and general adjustments
  • Prepare donated bikes for resale or program use
  • Ensure all bikes meet safety and quality standards
  • Support shop operations during open hours and sales events
  • Occasionally assist with special events or program needs
Qualifications
  • Basic to intermediate bike mechanic experience
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in nonprofit work, sustainability, and youth programs

​Bike Shop Assistant (Part-Time | 25–32 hrs/week)

Position Summary
The Bike Shop Assistant supports daily operations at the ReCyclery, assisting with customer service, bike intake, and general shop organization. This role is well suited for someone eager to learn, work with the public, and contribute to a community-centered nonprofit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers and support bike and gear sales
  • Help process bike donations and prepare bikes for mechanics
  • Support basic bike cleaning, setup, and organization
  • Maintain shop organization and inventory
  • Assist during busy weekends, sales, and events
Qualifications
  • Interest in bicycles and willingness to learn basic mechanics
  • Friendly, reliable, and comfortable working with the public
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Interest in community impact and nonprofit work
